Coupang Eats Launches Free Safety Inspections for Delivery Partners in the Second Half of the Year
Support Provided to Over 1,700 Delivery Partners Across 16 Regions Nationwide
Coupang Eats Service (CES) announced on September 30 that it will operate the "2025 Second Half Free Safety Inspection" across 16 regions nationwide to support safe driving for delivery partners during the upcoming winter season.
Since 2023, CES has continuously expanded its free safety inspection campaign nationwide to strengthen delivery partner safety. By the second half of this year, a cumulative total of about 5,000 delivery partners are expected to have received support.
This second half safety inspection began in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province on September 17 and will be conducted sequentially in major cities across the country, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon, Cheongju, Daegu, and Changwon, through November. In particular, the winter season requires extra caution for two-wheeled vehicle operation due to snow and icy roads, making thorough preventive maintenance and management essential.
The free safety inspection is provided by maintenance experts affiliated with the Korea Motorcycle Maintenance Association, offering systematic and detailed checks. The main inspection items include braking systems, tires, lighting devices, noise and exhaust emissions, and steering mechanisms. Key consumables such as engine oil, brake pads, air cleaner filters, and transmission oil will be diagnosed and replaced free of charge if necessary.
In some regions, customized safety education for delivery partners will also be provided in cooperation with the Korea Road Traffic Authority, covering topics such as winter accident prevention and safe night driving. Participants who complete the training will receive safety gear such as helmets, LED armbands, and portable flashlights.
