Wanju County in North Jeolla Province has launched the "2025 Wanju New Hope Startup Education" program to support the successful settlement of aspiring entrepreneurs and increase startup survival rates. Applications for participation are being accepted until October 17.
According to the county on September 29, the program is structured to allow participants to learn everything from basic knowledge required for starting a business to practical commercialization skills in a step-by-step manner. It consists of a basic course (30 hours) and an advanced course (20 hours), totaling 50 hours.
The basic course will be held from October 30 to November 6, and the advanced course will run from November 10 to 13. The program is open to aspiring entrepreneurs preparing to start a business in Wanju County. Foreign nationals holding F5 or F6 visas are also eligible to apply. The training is entirely free of charge, and the number of participants is limited to around 20.

Through this approach, participants are expected to acquire not only knowledge but also practical and sustainable entrepreneurial skills.
Upon completion of the program, participants may receive special startup loan guarantees of up to 50 million won. Those who complete the first stage are eligible for up to 30 million won, and those who complete the second stage can receive up to 50 million won in funding.
