Oh Sunghwan, Mayor of Dangjin, Joins the Effort
Korea Electric Wire Corporation lent a helping hand to local farms in celebration of the holiday season. This initiative aimed to support farms struggling with labor shortages during the busy farming season and to practice the value of coexistence with the local community.

View original imageOn September 29, Korea Electric Wire Corporation announced that it had carried out a "Rural Workforce Support" activity to assist with the sweet potato harvest at farms in the Dangjin area. This event took place on September 26 in Janghang 1-ri and Samhwa 1-ri, villages near the company's main production base, the Dangjin Cable Plant. More than 50 employees, including Kim Hyunju, Head of Production Technology Division, and Kang Jinyeon, Chairman of the Labor Union, participated in the harvest, collecting a total of 2,000 kilograms of sweet potatoes. Oh Sunghwan, Mayor of Dangjin, also joined the effort.
Previously, on September 23, Korea Electric Wire Corporation donated local specialties such as sweet potatoes, yakgwa, and pumpkin bread-made from Dangjin-sourced ingredients-to a total of seven institutions, including residential facilities for people with disabilities, sheltered workshops, and welfare centers, through the Dangjin City Welfare Foundation. These items are scheduled to be delivered to people with disabilities using these facilities during the Chuseok holiday period.
