During the 'Ukraine Infrastructure Cooperation Seminar' session, SG presented a pilot construction case using its eco-friendly road paving material, Eco Steel Ascon. This technology utilizes byproducts from the steel industry, enabling the simultaneous achievement of multiple goals such as carbon reduction during road construction, resource circulation, and improved construction quality.
Marking its 13th year, GICC is a leading global infrastructure event hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by the International Contractors Association of Korea. Approximately 500 participants attended, including government officials from over 30 countries, CEOs of overseas project owners, representatives from multilateral development banks (MDBs), as well as major domestic construction companies and public institutions.
GICC 2025 was held at the Westin Josun Parnas Hotel in Seoul. Key agenda topics included strategies for expanding K-infrastructure overseas, innovation in transportation infrastructure, responses to energy transition, and international financial cooperation.
An SG representative stated, "GICC provided an important opportunity to directly meet with overseas project owners and MDBs, significantly strengthening our network. We aim to enhance our competitiveness in the global infrastructure market by generating tangible results such as discovering new projects, expanding overseas orders, and securing stable financial procurement."
