Eight-Car Pileup Near Dongtan JC... Driver in 80s in Cardiac Arrest
On the morning of September 27, near the Dongtan Junction (JC) on the Gyeongbu Expressway in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, heading toward Busan, a multi-vehicle collision involving eight cars occurred after a sedan driven by an individual in their 80s, identified as A, rear-ended the car in front. A was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest.
According to Yonhap News on the same day, three people have been reported injured so far as a result of the accident. The vehicle struck by A was pushed into the adjacent lane, causing six additional vehicles to collide in succession.
