Hwasun County (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced on September 26 that, in celebration of Chuseok, it will increase the monthly purchase and holding limit of the Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate to 2 million won for the entire month of October.
Starting this month and continuing through December, Hwasun County is selling the mobile Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate at a 15% discount. In particular, for the month of October, which includes the Chuseok holiday, the purchase and holding limit for the Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate will be raised to 2 million won each. However, for paper gift certificates, the maximum purchase amount is limited to 300,000 won, and the existing 10% discount rate will continue to apply.
The mobile Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate can be recharged via the 'CHAK' smartphone app and used for QR code payments at approximately 2,000 affiliated merchants within the county.
Hwasun County explained that this initiative is intended to ease the financial burden on residents preparing for Chuseok shopping, boost local consumption, and revitalize traditional markets and neighborhood businesses.
