'Pregnant Women's Day' ... Gimhae City to Present 'Mami Box' to 200 Newlywed Couples Registering Marriage
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam will provide a 'Mami Box' on a first-come, first-served basis to 200 newlywed couples who register their marriage during the month of October, in celebration of 'Pregnant Women's Day' on October 10.
The Mami Box contains an eco-bag filled with baby body wash, detergent, and wet wipes.
On the front of the bag is 'Todeogi,' the official character of Gimhae City, which won the grand prize at the 2025 Korea Local Government Public Character Festival.

The city explained that the Mami Box goes beyond simply offering a gift, as it embodies support for the healthy formation of families, from marriage to childbirth and parenting.

Lee Donghee, Head of the Permits and Civil Affairs Division, said, "We prepared this initiative in hopes that newlyweds preparing for marriage and childbirth will feel warm encouragement and support in Gimhae.
