LS Securities Carries Out Chuseok Social Contribution, Delivers Handmade Traditional Rice Cakes to the Underprivileged
LS Securities announced on September 26 that on September 24, in celebration of Chuseok, the company carried out a social contribution activity by delivering handmade traditional rice cakes to the local community.
This initiative was organized to share warmth with members of the local community and to enhance the meaning of the Chuseok holiday.
Led by CEO Kim Wonkyu, around 50 executives and employees of LS Securities, under the guidance of a professional instructor, carefully made approximately 200 boxes of traditional rice cakes and delivered them to the Changsin-dong Community Counseling Center in Seoul. The completed rice cake boxes were distributed to residents of the local jjokbangchon (single-room housing area).
Employees who participated in the social contribution activity shared their thoughts, saying, "It was a time to reflect on the meaning of holidays when families and neighbors come together," and "It is usually not easy to participate in volunteer activities, but doing it with colleagues made it much more enjoyable and meaningful."
In addition to this, LS Securities is practicing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by engaging in various social contribution activities such as coal briquette sharing volunteer work, plogging activities, maintenance of barrier-free paths in ecological parks, and cleaning of gravesites at the National Cemetery.
