Dongducheon City to Operate Emergency Medical Care System During Chuseok Holiday, October 3-9
On September 26, Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyungdeok) announced that it will establish and operate an emergency medical care system from October 3 to 9 to respond promptly to citizens' emergency medical situations during the Chuseok holiday.
The city will collaborate with the Dongducheon Medical Association, Dongducheon-Yeoncheon Dental Association, Dongducheon Korean Medicine Association, and Dongducheon Pharmaceutical Association to minimize gaps in medical services. A total of 51 hospitals and clinics, as well as 27 pharmacies, including the emergency room at Dongducheon Jungang St. Mary's Hospital, a key medical institution in Gyeonggi Province, will participate in operations on designated dates.
The public late-night pharmacy, Ondure Saengyeon Pharmacy, will be open from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. during the holiday period, providing medication dispensing, sales, and pharmaceutical guidance.
Additionally, the city will operate an emergency medical situation room at the public health center during the holiday, offering information on open hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, while also monitoring the emergency medical care system.
Information on medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the holiday can be found on the Dongducheon City Public Health Center website, the Health and Welfare Call Center (129), the Gyeonggi Province Call Center (120), the Emergency Situation Management Center (119), the Emergency Medical Portal (e-gen.or.kr), and the Emergency Toktok app.
