Lightning Market Successfully Concludes "2025 Lightning Flea Market Festival"
Over 70,000 Visitors Gather
Lightning Market announced on the 26th that the "2025 Lightning Flea Market Festival," held in collaboration with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture over two days on the 20th and 21st, concluded successfully.
This event, held at Nodeul Island in Seoul, attracted a cumulative total of over 70,000 visitors. This figure is more than five times higher compared to the previous year.
A total of 469 sellers from around 120 teams, including models and fashion creators, participated in the event, each showcasing items that reflected their personal tastes. The total value of safe transactions using Lightning Market’s Lightning Pay amounted to approximately 330 million won, and the total number of secondhand transactions reached about 29,000, a threefold increase compared to the previous year.
Throughout the entire event, Lightning Market focused on promoting the value of "sustainable consumption." Through a partnership with the eco-friendly booth manufacturer Hankhan, reusable booths were provided. The event practiced eco-friendly operations by not providing disposable shopping bags, encouraging visitors to bring their own bags in advance, or offering reusable shopping bags.
A representative from Lightning Market stated, "It is estimated that this festival reduced carbon emissions by about 2,448 tons, which is equivalent to the emissions produced by driving around the Earth 265 times by car," and added, "This is a meaningful achievement that also contributes to environmental protection."
Lightning Market also allowed visitors to experience its flagship services on-site during the festival. In particular, the "Lightning Care Booth," staffed by professional authenticators, provided immediate verification of the authenticity of purchased items. The "BGZT Collection" booth, a luxury secondhand store, offered visitors a differentiated high-end recommerce experience.
