Gangwon Province to Host 'Gangwon Art Market Festival,' an Everyday Art Fair at Namchuncheon Station

Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae), together with the Gangwon Branch of the Korea National Artists Association, will host the '2025 Gangwon Art Market Festival' for six days from September 26 to October 1 at the first-floor cultural space of Namchuncheon Station.

View original imageThe Gangwon Art Market Festival, which has been led by local artists since 2005, marks its 20th anniversary this year as Gangwon's representative art festival. Every year, it has showcased works on various themes and engaged with visitors.
This year's festival, under the theme 'Art in Everyday Life, Inspiration in the Market,' will feature 50 artists active throughout Gangwon Province. The event will take the form of an art market, where a wide range of works across different genres will be exhibited and sold.
Since 2022, Namchuncheon Station, a major transportation hub and part of daily life, has been used as the main exhibition venue. This has established the festival as a cultural and artistic event where citizens and visitors can naturally encounter and enjoy art in their everyday lives.
