Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival Opens in Paju on the 26th... 21,417 Participants Compete in 27 Events
The 36th Gyeonggi-do Sports for All Festival will be held in Paju from September 26 to 28, 2025.
This year's event will see 21,417 participants, including 18,153 athletes and 3,264 officials from 31 cities and counties in the province, competing fiercely in 27 sports, including soccer, badminton, and tennis (22 official events and 5 demonstration events).
This year, jump rope has been added as a demonstration event, providing additional attractions for spectators.
Since 2013, the festival has been held in conjunction with the Senior Sports for All Festival. This year, it is expected to become a true celebration of sports for all generations, with participants ranging from the youngest at 6 years old to the oldest at 94 years old.
Gyeonggi Province will utilize renewable energy for the event through the "Green Premium" system (a program that recognizes the use of renewable energy when companies pay an additional fee on top of their existing electricity bills). The opening and closing ceremonies will also use reusable containers, making this a truly eco-friendly festival.
