View original imageThe Shinan County Council in South Jeolla Province concluded its 330th extraordinary session, which lasted for 13 days, with the second plenary meeting held on September 24.
This extraordinary session began on September 12. A total of seven agenda items, including ordinance bills proposed by council members and the executive branch, a public property management plan, and the approval of the 2025 budget utilization plan, were reviewed by standing committees and passed in the plenary meeting.
At the plenary meeting on this day, a resolution to secure the safety of marine overhead transmission lines was adopted. Through the resolution statement, the council emphasized, "Frequent safety accidents are occurring due to contact between Shinan County's marine overhead transmission lines and vessels in navigation," and stressed, "Prompt and active response from relevant agencies is urgently needed to protect the lives and property of residents and to ensure a stable power supply."
Based on this resolution, the council plans to actively pursue institutional and technological measures to strengthen the safety management of marine overhead transmission lines and to prevent accidents.
