"Stop Voice Phishing"... Gyeonggi Province Signs Agreement with Eight Organizations Including Financial Supervisory Service
Gyeonggi Province signed a business agreement with eight organizations on the 24th at Seohui Hall in the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office to strengthen support for the prevention of telecommunication financial fraud damage.
This agreement was initiated to establish an organic work system among the participating organizations and to enhance public awareness campaigns and educational initiatives for the prevention of telecommunication financial fraud, as well as to strengthen support for victims. This comes in response to the increasing number of victims due to the increasingly sophisticated methods of voice phishing crimes.
Under the agreement, the nine participating organizations, including Gyeonggi Province, will cooperate in various areas to strengthen the prevention of telecommunication financial fraud. These include: identifying the current status of damages and collecting case studies; promoting fraud prevention; implementing educational programs for vulnerable groups; training professionals to support fraud prevention; and providing content to support prevention efforts.
