Samyang Foods announced on the 24th that cumulative sales of the "Buldak Bokkeummyeon" series have surpassed 8 billion units.
The "Buldak" series, launched in 2012, saw a surge in overseas demand, reaching a cumulative sales volume of 5 billion units in 2023 and 7 billion units in 2024. By the first half of this year, cumulative sales had exceeded 8 billion units. This figure is equivalent to the global population of 8.2 billion people.
Buldak Bokkeummyeon continues to grow by expanding its export range to over 100 countries worldwide, including the United States, China, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The company is laying the foundation for global expansion by localizing all aspects of its business-including products, distribution, and communication-to suit each region.
Beyond noodles, Samyang Foods has incorporated the spicy Buldak flavor into sauces, snacks, and ready-to-eat meals, consistently expanding consumer choices. In particular, Buldak Sauce is exported to more than 50 countries and, through collaborations with domestic and international companies, is featured in restaurant menus and retail products.
Samyang Foods plans to use its Miryang Plant 1 and Plant 2 as new growth engines to stably meet rapidly increasing demand. As production capacity expands, sales of the Buldak Bokkeummyeon series are expected to accelerate further.
