Muan County to Host "2025 SoloDoolo Project"
A Place for Single Men and Women
to Find Excitement, Connection, and Marriage
Muan County in South Jeolla Province is bringing back the "2025 Muan 1+1 SoloDoolo Project," a matchmaking event designed to spark excitement among young men and women this fall.
Last year’s event drew attention as seven couples formed relationships, with some expected to lead to marriage. Some participants shared that "the meeting itself became a turning point in life," and described it as "a meaningful opportunity that went beyond a simple event and brought about real change."
This year’s project introduces a thorough personal information protection system to reduce participants’ concerns. All proceedings will use pseudonyms, and only the individuals involved will know the results of the couple matching.
The promotional poster’s catchphrases alone convey a sense of excitement. Phrases such as "Dating is all about timing! Love is all about timing!", "Think you’ll get another chance? Now is the time!", and "Am I the only one excited? Let’s be excited together!" are representative. Notably, the last phrase contains a witty double meaning: "Since it’s snowing, let’s be excited together."
Han Seunghun, head of the Population Policy Division, stated, "Following last year, I hope many young people seize the opportunity to find a partner again this year," adding, "I look forward to this project leading not only to love, but also to marriage and a happy settlement."
