[Photo] 60th National Skills Competition Opens in Gwangju
The 60th National Skills Competition, co-hosted by Gwangju City, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, kicked off with a grand opening ceremony at the Kimdaejung Convention Center on the afternoon of September 22. This year’s competition will be held at six venues, including the Kimdaejung Convention Center, Gwangju Technical High School, Gwangju Electronic Technical High School, Jeonnam Technical High School, Gwangju Natural Science High School, and Gwangju Human Resources Development Institute. More than 13,000 participants-including athletes, coaches, and volunteers selected from 17 cities and provinces nationwide-will compete until September 26. The opening ceremony was attended by Gwangju Mayor Kang Gijung and Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Younghoon, who toured the competition venues with other distinguished guests.
