Daegu Regional Veterans Office Operates Emotional Support Program "Silver Creative Studio" for Veterans' Families
Herb Garden Cultivation Experience Held
with Veterans' Families in Gunwi and Chilgok
The Daegu Regional Veterans Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs (Director Kim Jongsul) operated its own emotional support program, "Silver Creative Studio," on September 22 at the Gunwi Veterans Hall for veterans' families residing in Gunwi and Chilgok.

View original image"Silver Creative Studio" is a program designed to directly reach out to the Gyeongbuk region, which has been relatively underserved by emotional support programs, to help veterans' families achieve emotional stability, enhance cognitive abilities, and prevent dementia.
The program offers a variety of creative activities each quarter. In the first and second sessions, participants created collaborative artworks themed around patriotism and made pottery. In this third session, participants engaged in horticultural therapy by cultivating a herb garden.
Veterans' families who participated in the event had the opportunity to plant and care for herb plants themselves, experiencing their scents and textures. A veteran named Lee said, "The scent of herbs calms my mind, and I am grateful for this opportunity. I will do my best to nurture them with care," sharing his thoughts.
The Daegu Regional Veterans Office plans to continue promoting various customized programs, including "Silver Creative Studio," to improve the quality of life and emotional well-being of veterans' families.
