View original imageThe Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on September 22 that the Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Corporation donated rice worth 10 million won to the Goryeoin Village, Migrant Comprehensive Support Center, and local senior centers in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.
The donation ceremony, held at the Goryeoin Village Comprehensive Support Center located on Sanjeonggongwon-ro, Gwangsan-gu, was attended by Lee Haksoo, Head of Administration at Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters; Park Sangwook, President of Hanam Nonghyup; Lee Cheonyeong, Pastor of Goryeoin Village; Jeon Deukan, Head of the Migrant Comprehensive Support Center; as well as staff from Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae and other key stakeholders.
The donated rice, valued at 10 million won, will be distributed through the Goryeoin Village, Migrant Comprehensive Support Center, and local senior centers. This initiative was carried out to share warmth with marginalized neighbors ahead of the Chuseok holiday, and it is expected to provide practical support to Goryeoin residents, foreign workers, and local seniors.
