Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam Holds Joint Soundness Campaign for "Gambling Problem Awareness Week"
From Gambling Problem Prevention and Recovery
to Credit Restoration...
Strengthening the User Protection Network
Korea Racing Authority Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam (headed by Eom Youngseok) conducted a joint soundness campaign for users of Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam in observance of "Gambling Problem Awareness Week" (September 15-21), in collaboration with the Busan Ulsan Gambling Problem Prevention and Recovery Center (headed by Kim Jungeun) and the Busan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service (headed by Lee Changin).
This campaign was jointly organized by the three institutions to raise awareness of gambling problems and to provide integrated support for financial issues resulting from gambling, thereby establishing a robust safety net for user protection.
The Busan Ulsan Gambling Problem Prevention and Recovery Center and the YouCan Center jointly operated an on-site "soundness campaign" booth, where they carried out preventive activities such as gambling problem screening tests (CPGI), promotion of the Helpline 1336, and guidance on enjoying horse racing responsibly. On-site participants could check their gambling habits through instant screenings and, if necessary, be connected to professional counseling services.
This joint campaign went beyond the boundaries of each institution, organically linking gambling problem prevention and recovery with credit restoration support under the shared goal of "user protection." It is evaluated as having laid the foundation for gambling problem response and financial recovery support to be provided as an integrated process, rather than as separate services.
Kim Jungeun, head of the Busan Ulsan Gambling Problem Prevention and Recovery Center, stated, "Gambling problems are an issue that the entire society must address together, and this joint campaign served as a practical opportunity to provide support that also encompasses economic difficulties."
