Donghae City Introduces New Public Bus Route 506 to Expand Transportation Convenience for Residents
Donghae City in Gangwon Province announced on September 22 that it will implement improvements to some public bus routes currently operated to enhance convenience for residents in areas with limited transportation access.
The city first introduced public buses in 2019, deploying four vehicles across three routes. In 2023, it purchased two additional buses and established two new routes, bringing the current total to six buses in operation.
Among these, Route 503, which operates between Seungji-dong and Nobong, will be adjusted to extend service along Budu-gil when traveling from Seungji-dong toward Nobong.
Additionally, the segment of Route 505 that previously extended from Jiheung Terminal to Haeoreum Sports Center will be separated into a new, independent Route 506. This change is intended to allow citizens using Haeoreum Sports Center to use the bus service more conveniently and without confusion.
The revised routes and timetables will take effect from September 22, and detailed information can be found on the 'Donghae City Public Transportation Information Website.'
