On the 17th, the city announced that it had signed a business agreement with Gonggammanse, a social enterprise and the developer of WeGive, to expand the donation environment.
WeGive is a private donation platform that has been operating since December last year in line with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's digital service opening policy. It is designed to make it easier and more convenient for donors to participate in the Hometown Love Donation Program.
Since the implementation of the program in 2023, the city has been working to discover community-focused fund projects and expand the range of return gift items. Through this agreement, accessibility and convenience will be enhanced, and the city will also secure a variety of promotional channels through the private platform.
A city official stated, "With the introduction of WeGive, the Hometown Love Donation Program has entered a new phase. We will create an environment where anyone can donate easily and enjoyably, widely promote Mokpo’s appeal, and use this as a driving force for regional development."
Gonggammanse also commented, "Together with Mokpo City, we will support a structure where donors, local governments, and return gift suppliers can cooperate, and we aim to increase donor satisfaction and contribute to the local community."
