Coway announced on September 19 that it has won the main award in the product category at the 2025 IDEA Design Awards.
The IDEA Design Awards is a globally renowned design competition organized by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), and is considered one of the world's top three design awards alongside Germany's iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. With this latest achievement, Coway has received the main award at the IDEA Design Awards for 16 consecutive years.
The award-winning "Icon Pro Water Purifier" had already proven its innovation by also winning the main award at the 2025 Pinup Design Awards, the most prestigious design competition in Korea.
This product features a touch-type LCD display across the entire front panel, providing an intuitive user experience. It offers a recipe mode that automatically sets the optimal temperature, volume, and preparation method according to the intended use, and delivers a variety of information and detailed system controls that are difficult to implement with conventional button-type products.
Additionally, users can check the product status at a glance on the display screen. The device monitors its condition in real time, providing guidance if any issues are detected, and sends notifications when it is time to clean or replace consumables such as filters and cartridge units. During replacement, sensors detect the user's movements and guide the next steps through video and audio, greatly enhancing maintenance convenience.
