In Conjunction with Busan R&D Week
Discussion on Current Issues in AI Autonomous Manufacturing,
Domestic and International Implementation Cases,
and Strategies for Applying AI in Aerospace Manufacturing
The Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion for Higher Education (BISTEP, President Kim Youngbu) will host the "3rd Busan Future Technology Innovation Forum 2025" in conjunction with the "11th Busan R&D Week" at BEXCO Exhibition Center II on September 26.
The theme of this forum is "The New Future of Manufacturing Transformed by Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology."
The event will cover a variety of topics, including: ▲ Current issues in AI autonomous manufacturing industries and policies ▲ Domestic and international cases of intelligent manufacturing system implementation ▲ Strategies for utilizing AI in the aerospace manufacturing industry. The discussions will focus on ways to accelerate innovation in Busan's key industries.
In the first presentation, Cho Sungho, Director of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Planning and Evaluation (KISTEP), will introduce current issues in the AI autonomous manufacturing industry, related policies, and directions for government investment. Next, Kang Yongtae, Executive Director at Hansol Corever, will share domestic and international cases of intelligent manufacturing system implementation. Cho Sanghwan, Head of the Korean Air Tech Center, will present strategies for applying AI in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
A panel discussion will be held on the topic of "Challenges and Development Strategies for Applying AI to Busan's Manufacturing Industry."
The discussion will be moderated by Jung Seokchan, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center at Dong-Eui University. In addition to the presenters, participants will include Yang Changmun, Director of Busan Technopark; Han Junhee, Professor at Pusan National University; and Jung Hyuntae, AI Industry Development Specialist at the Busan City Artificial Intelligence Software Department. Representatives from industry, academia, research, and government will work together to find solutions.
Kim Youngbu, President of BISTEP, stated, "This forum will be an important opportunity to successfully integrate AI technology into Busan's manufacturing sector and create new added value." He added, "I hope this meaningful gathering, where representatives from Busan's industry, academia, research, and government come together, will lead to practical solutions."
