Key Figures from Google, NVIDIA, and Spotify to Gather
Major Global Tech Firms and International Investors Join the Event
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on September 18 that they will host 'StartupCon,' the largest content startup event in Korea, at Peaches Dowon in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on September 25 and 26.
This year's theme is 'Content X Everything: Surpassing the Limits of Imagination.' The event will focus on key industry topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) integration, fandom strategies, overseas expansion, investment attraction, and scaling up.
The keynote speeches on the first day will be delivered by key figures from global IT companies. Peter Dannenberg, Senior Engineer at Google DeepMind, will present on the future of the content industry transformed by generative AI, while Kirith Tadaka, Product Leader at NVIDIA, will introduce strategies for utilizing synthetic data. Cho Sunghae, Director at Galaxy Corporation, will discuss how startups can turn technological changes into opportunities.
The second day will feature a session on the music industry. Will Page, former Chief Economist at Spotify, Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium Global, and singer Tiger JK will discuss creators' rights and the outlook for the music industry in the age of AI. Actor Lee Jehoon will share his experiences as an investor.
Representatives from domestic AI companies will also take the stage. Companies such as Upstage, NC AI, and Rebellions will present on the impact of AI on the content industry and strategies for overseas expansion. SAMG Entertainment, singer Zior Park, and MBC will share cases on intellectual property (IP) expansion, promotional efficiency, and successful investment attraction.
At the 'Battlefield' finals, an investment pitch competition with a prize pool of 100 million won, seven startups will compete, with three receiving the main awards.

This year, international investor networking will be significantly expanded. Twenty-six companies from the United States, France, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, and the Middle East will hold one-on-one meetings with domestic startups. Jung Sangwon, Director General of Content Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "We will actively support domestic startups so they can seize growth opportunities in the global market."
