The 6,000th Good Family is the family of singer Won Hyuk, who serves as the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea ambassador, along with his wife Lee Sumin and daughter Won Iel.
Singer Won Hyuk naturally formed a connection with the Community Chest of Korea when his father-in-law, broadcaster Lee Yongsik, was appointed as the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea ambassador in February. In July, Won Hyuk succeeded his father-in-law as the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea ambassador and joined as the 6,000th Good Family, putting the spirit of sharing into practice. After gaining recognition through his appearance on TV Chosun's "Mr. Trot 2," Won Hyuk has been actively pursuing his career, including releasing albums and holding the "2024 Joseon's Lover Won Hyuk First Solo Concert."
Together with his wife Lee Sumin, daughter of broadcaster Lee Yongsik, he operates the YouTube channel "Apo TV," which has 180,000 subscribers, where they share their daily family life and actively engage with the public.
Singer Won Hyuk stated, "I believe sharing means allowing other families to feel the happiness that our family experiences," and added, "I am happy to practice the value of warm sharing together with my beloved wife and daughter."
Hwang Insik, Secretary General of the Community Chest of Korea, commented, "The Good Family program, which has continued for many years, has become a warm and precious culture where families practice sharing together, going beyond simple donations. It is even more meaningful and appreciated that the family of ambassador Won Hyuk is participating as the 6,000th Good Family."
"Good Family" is a regular donation program in which households donate at least 20,000 won per month to the Community Chest of Korea in the name of a parent or child. Launched nationwide in May 2016 to mark Family Month, the program encourages all family members to share the meaning of giving and spread positive influence. Families who join receive a certificate recognizing them as a Good Family.
