From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., visitors can enjoy night views, performances, lectures, hands-on experiences, and food, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the history and culture of Yeongwol with all their senses.
The night tour will begin with a vibrant traditional lion dance parade. Starting from the Yeongwol Arts Center, the parade will proceed to the main stage at Yeongwolbu Government Office, featuring performances by singer Kim Hyuncheol, the Kim Deoksu Samulnori troupe, and local artists, delivering excitement and inspiration on an autumn night. Along the lantern-lit walking paths, visitors can join the 'King Danjong and Queen Jeongsun's Stroll,' a 'Stamp Tour,' and a 'Time Travel Guided Tour.' At Changjeolsa Shrine, historian Sun Kim will give a lecture on Yeongwol's history, and ecological fairy tale writer Kwon Ohjun will share vivid stories of Woljungdo.
In the plaza in front of the Arts Center, a large LED panel will display 'Woljungdo,' and visitors can participate in craft and lifestyle workshops such as making traditional cosmetics inspired by Queen Jeongsun's life, natural dyeing, and soap making. At Geumgangjeong Pavilion, there will be a gayageum performance and an astronomy observation program in partnership with Byeolmaro Observatory, allowing visitors to enjoy the autumn night sky.
Additionally, those who complete the Stamp Tour will receive local food discount coupons, and participants in the SNS certification event 'Meogeoyahaeng' will be entered into a prize draw. Visitors who stay at accommodations in Yeongwol during the event will also receive special souvenirs, including traditional liquor.
