Some users criticized the scene, commenting, "You can't even display the Taegukgi at Baekdu Mountain, but it's chaos in Jeju," "Playing loud music and dancing at tourist sites is a nuisance," and "Why are they behaving like this in another country?" On the other hand, some defended the group, saying, "It's similar to performing Taekwondo abroad," "Group dancing is a trend among tourists in China," and "It just looks like they're filming something."
The number of foreign tourists visiting Jeju continues to rise. According to the Jeju Tourism Association, 1,907,608 foreign tourists visited Jeju last year, surpassing one million for the first time in five years and recovering to pre-COVID-19 levels. Among these, Chinese tourists accounted for the largest share. Last year, 1,304,359 Chinese tourists visited Jeju, making up 68.4% of all foreign visitors.
