Board of Audit and Inspection Launches Reform TF... Targeted Audits and Other Issues to Be Reviewed
The Board of Audit and Inspection announced the launch of an operational reform task force (TF) aimed at reflecting on and addressing both internal and external criticisms and issues that have been raised. The TF is expected to conduct a comprehensive review of matters that previously sparked controversy over targeted and politically motivated audits during the previous administration.
The Board of Audit and Inspection explained, "The main mission of the newly established TF is not only to examine audit matters that have been consistently criticized by the media and the National Assembly, but also to review overall audit operations in order to reform the management of the Board." The Board plans to complete the process as quickly as possible to ensure stable operations.
During the TF period, the Board will gather not only issues raised externally, but also a wide range of opinions from internal staff. The Board plans to collect candid feedback on overall operations from employees through anonymous social networking services (SNS) and reflect these insights in the TF's activities.
