Gyeonggi Province to Conduct Joint Inspection of Illegal Advertisements Around Schools Until September 26
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will conduct a joint inspection with city and county authorities on illegal advertisements around schools until September 26 to ensure a safe commuting environment for students. This inspection is being carried out in conjunction with the comprehensive clean-up during the Chuseok holiday period.
The inspection areas include outdoor advertisements and posting facilities near schools, specifically targeting the vicinity of kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools within children's protection zones (within 300 meters of main school entrances) and educational environment protection zones (within 200 meters of school boundaries).
The main inspection items are: ▲ safety inspection and maintenance of old signboards ▲ comprehensive removal of illegal advertisements such as banners and leaflets ▲ crackdown on illegal political banners within children's protection zones.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government, together with city and county authorities, will form joint inspection teams with related organizations and private groups to focus on on-site inspections.
For any illegal advertisements found during the inspection, administrative actions such as warnings, enforcement fines, and penalty surcharges will be imposed in accordance with relevant laws. Public officials in charge of outdoor advertising and private experts will participate in the inspection process to listen to on-site difficulties and discuss possible improvements to the system.
