Asem Completes Global Brand Product Registration for Waterless Dyed Yarn
Asem, a company specializing in high-performance composite materials, announced on September 16 that its waterless dyed yarn has completed product registration as sewing thread with a global sports brand. With this registration, the company is preparing to deliver the initial batch. Additional inquiries have also been made regarding waterless yarn for embroidery thread and dyed fabric applications.
The waterless dyed yarn developed by Asem is a fiber yarn that can be dyed without the use of water. This is a dream eco-friendly dyeing technology that can reduce pollutants generated during the dyeing process by 100% compared to conventional wet dyeing. The traditional method inevitably produced large amounts of wastewater. In contrast, Asem's technology is significant for the industry as it enables a fundamental shift in the dyeing process itself.
Currently, the dyed yarn market is dominated by traditional wet dyeing, and the environmental burden from water and chemical use has become a global challenge. As a result, demand is steadily increasing for waterless dyeing methods that can reduce water consumption or shorten the process. Unlike conventional dyeing processes, waterless dyed yarn can achieve coloration at the yarn stage, making it advantageous for reducing post-processing costs.
