Samcheok City Recruiting Companies for (Preliminary) Social Enterprise Job Creation Support Project
On September 16, Samcheok City in Gangwon Province announced that it will officially launch the "2025 Samcheok City (Preliminary) Social Enterprise Job Creation Support Project" to establish a foundation for the self-reliance of (preliminary) social enterprises and to provide continuous and stable jobs for vulnerable groups.
This project was established by Samcheok City using its own budget after the conclusion of the 2024 national funding program, with the aim of supporting the settlement of social enterprises in the region and addressing local issues.
Eligible applicants are (preliminary) social enterprises that have their main office in Samcheok City as of the announcement date and have employed at least one paid worker as of the end of the month prior to the announcement. The city will partially subsidize the minimum wage for up to two employees per enterprise.
The support scale is as follows: preliminary social enterprises will receive a basic wage subsidy of 50% of the minimum wage, while certified social enterprises will receive 40%. If they employ vulnerable workers, the subsidy can be increased up to 80%.
Applications must be submitted in person at the Economic Affairs Division from September 15 to 29; submissions by mail, courier, or email are not accepted. After document screening, in-person interviews, and review by the Local Subsidy Management Committee, the final selection will be made in October, and the project will officially begin in November.
