This program was held over three days from the 12th to the 14th at the Gwangju Esports Stadium, aiming to strengthen data analysis capabilities for esports matches using AI tools and machine learning. A total of 25 participants, including university students and members of the general public, took part in a hackathon workshop.
The curriculum included: ▲ training on hackathon rules and the use of AI tools, ▲ hands-on practice in collecting, refining, and analyzing esports match data, ▲ team-based data analysis assignments, and ▲ final presentations and a virtual tournament.
Participants completed projects using real match data and player statistics, producing team composition plans, player selection reports, presentation slides, and virtual tournament ranking charts.
Through this intensive three-day program, participants not only learned the theory of data analysis but also developed practical application skills and gained experience in collaborative problem-solving through teamwork. In particular, the hackathon format enabled them to achieve effective learning outcomes in a short period of time.
Gwangju Esports Training Center is leading the systematic development of esports professionals by offering a variety of educational programs, including discovering and nurturing promising pro gamers, training experts in game production, planning, and operations, and supporting esports classes and clubs for youth.
