The awards are hosted by Youth and Future under the National Assembly Secretariat and supported by the National Assembly.
Changwon Special City was recognized for its achievements in pursuing five key policy initiatives aimed at building a youth-friendly city: expanding youth employment and education tailored to major industries; creating a cultural city where young people gather; easing the burden of housing costs and providing stable housing support; identifying vulnerable youth and strengthening support for their daily stability; and expanding youth participation and capacity building.
In addition, the city established the “Changwon Youth-Friendly City Ordinance” to strengthen the institutional foundation for youth policy implementation, and opened and operates the youth cultural and arts complex, Sponge Park, providing creative and exhibition spaces for young artists and hosting various cultural events, thereby making significant contributions to the revitalization of youth cultural activities.
