Applications Accepted Through the Official Website Until October 31

The Visit Korea Committee announced on September 15 that it is accepting applications from businesses wishing to participate in the Korea Grand Sale, a shopping and cultural tourism festival for foreigners, until October 31.

The Korea Grand Sale is South Korea's leading shopping and cultural tourism festival, held since 2011 to attract foreign tourists and boost tourism spending during the country's off-peak travel season. The event is based on the participation of a wide range of private sector companies in industries such as airlines, accommodation, shopping, food and beverage, experiences, and convenience services. This year’s festival will run for 68 days, from December 17, 2025, to February 22, 2026.

The recruitment covers seven sectors: shopping (department stores, duty-free shops, supermarkets and shopping malls, convenience stores, traditional markets and local specialties, souvenir shops, etc.), accommodation (hotels, hostels, guesthouses and homestays, resorts, etc.), food and beverage (restaurants, cafes, food products, etc.), experiences (traditional culture, Hallyu, tourism and leisure, performances, exhibitions, classes, etc.), transportation (airlines, railways, city tour buses, etc.), beauty and health (cosmetics, health foods, beauty shops, etc.), and convenience services (payment, telecommunications, transportation and tourism passes or cards, luggage storage and delivery, platforms, etc.). To participate, companies must be able to provide products or services to foreign tourists and must be operating as of the announcement date.

Companies wishing to participate can apply through the Korea Grand Sale website, selecting from six categories based on their content and benefits: K-Gourmet (gourmet food), K-Exciting (experiences and activities), K-Stylish (beauty and fashion), K-Healing (resorts and wellness), K-Inspired (performances and cultural arts), and K-Connected (transportation, accommodation, platforms).

Participating companies will have the opportunity to effectively promote their brands, products, and services to foreign visitors. The Visit Korea Committee will actively promote the benefits offered by participating companies through the official Korea Grand Sale website, which operates in five languages including English, Japanese, and Chinese, as well as through language-specific social media channels. In addition, overseas online advertising targeting key markets will be provided. The committee will also offer inbound tourism trend and global marketing training for company representatives, and after the event, outstanding participating companies will be selected and awarded through a review process.

Further details about the application process for participating companies can be found on the Korea Grand Sale application page.
