BPA Discusses Cooperation with Poland's Port of Gdansk Authority
Busan Port Authority (BPA), led by CEO Song Sanggeun, announced on September 12 that Dorota Pyc, CEO of the Port of Gdansk Authority, which represents Poland’s leading port, visited its headquarters.
During this visit, both sides shared information on the current operations and development plans of their respective ports, broadening mutual understanding and exchanging views on the potential for future cooperation.
The delegation from the Port of Gdansk Authority showed great interest in the infrastructure of Busan Port, South Korea’s largest port and a global transshipment hub, as well as the North Port redevelopment project. Meanwhile, BPA highlighted the potential of the rapidly growing Port of Gdansk amid the recent increase in European logistics demand.
The Port of Gdansk is the largest port in Poland and, as of 2024, handles approximately 2.2 million TEUs of containers, establishing itself as a key hub in the logistics network of Eastern Europe.
