Now Robotics Selected as New Member of Ministry of Industry's K-Humanoid Alliance
Now Robotics announced on September 12 that it has been selected as a new member of the K-Humanoid Alliance after undergoing evaluations by companies and experts within the alliance, and receiving final approval from the general committee. Members of the K-Humanoid Alliance include the nation’s top research institutions such as Seoul National University, KAIST, Yonsei University, and POSTECH, as well as major conglomerates like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK, and POSCO.
The K-Humanoid Alliance is a coalition of leading domestic robotics companies, universities, and research institutes in South Korea, aiming to make the country the world’s leading humanoid powerhouse by 2030. Its goal is to develop humanoid robot technology and foster the industrial ecosystem.
Since last month, Now Robotics has been developing next-generation industrial humanoid robots that can be immediately deployed in various industrial settings. The company plans to apply a new type of reduction gear to its humanoid robots, which can deliver groundbreaking performance in terms of precision, durability, and weight reduction. Now Robotics also holds patents for high-precision reduction gears dedicated to humanoid robots.
