Yongin City to Hold "Social Economy Festival" at Dongbaek Lake Park on the 20th
Experience and Sales Booths Featuring Products from Over 30 Social Economy Enterprises
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the "2025 Yongin Social Economy Festival" at Dongbaek Lake Park in Jung-dong, Giheung-gu, on September 20.
Under the theme "Let's Play, Feel, and Share! Social Economy in Nature," the event will feature product exhibition and sales booths from over 30 local social economy enterprises, including social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, and self-sufficiency enterprises.
The venue will also host balloon art, string ensemble and band performances, as well as eco-friendly experience programs such as writing support messages for citizens, calligraphy workshops, traditional games, and making eco-bags from recycled banners. There will also be a citizen-participation Anabada flea market and prize drawings.
Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, stated, "This event will provide social economy enterprises with opportunities to expand their sales channels and network, while also serving as a meaningful occasion to inform citizens about the value and significance of the social economy."
