On the east coast of Gangwon, significant rainfall is expected to begin in earnest after the early morning of September 13, as a small-scale low-pressure system develops over the East Sea. The expected precipitation is 20 to 60 mm, which is relatively substantial. In the northern part of the Gangwon east coast, rainfall could exceed 80 mm.
After the night of September 12, there may be periods of heavy downpours, with rainfall rates reaching around 30 mm per hour.
