Currently, Korea National Oil Corporation provides oil price APIs to 17 IT-related startups and other companies, and also offers customized APIs upon request from partners. This initiative aims to support data infrastructure that is difficult for private companies to build independently, thereby helping them reduce costs and enhance service competitiveness.
The oil price information API (Application Programming Interface) delivers key oil price data-such as real-time sales prices and gas station locations nationwide-in an open format, making it easy to integrate into ICT-based services.
The meeting was attended by CEOs and key managers from major partner companies, including Mappers, Fomax Network, Goeun, Gleck, Now Energy Solution, and Kabang. Participants shared updates on their respective oil price information services and business operations, and engaged in in-depth discussions on directions for mutual growth through data linkage projects utilizing various oil price information.
During the meeting, attendees agreed to expand concrete initiatives for mutual growth, such as developing new services using Opinet's oil price information, mutual marketing cooperation, and enhancing data accessibility and technical support. They also plan to sign a win-win cooperation agreement reflecting these commitments in the near future.
