The agreement covers Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Australia, and New Zealand.
Under this agreement, PEDCO has been granted exclusive business rights to operate Dosi Oilfield's eco-friendly technology for decomposing waste vinyl and waste plastics to restore regenerated oil (regenerated feedstock oil, regenerated fuel oil) in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Australia, and New Zealand. With this, Dosi Oilfield has expanded its reach to the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, following its entry into the United Kingdom, Finland, and the United States.
Established in 1991, PEDCO is a company engaged in power and energy businesses, collaborating with major Middle Eastern firms such as ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia and ADNOC in the UAE. The company explained that last August, PEDCO sent samples of waste fiber generated in Australia to Dosi Oilfield to test the performance of its RGO pilot equipment.
A Dosi Oilfield representative stated, "Through this visit, PEDCO was able to directly verify the process in which waste fiber is decomposed at low temperatures without combustion, and subsequently decided to introduce our RGO facilities."
Abdulmohsen Alzamil, CEO of PEDCO, said, "Unlike traditional pyrolysis oil production plants that produce heavy oil through combustion at high temperatures, Dosi Oilfield's facilities demonstrate a high recovery rate and eco-friendliness by producing regenerated feedstock at naphtha-level quality. This points to the direction of sustainable, eco-friendly future technologies."
Jung Younghoon, CEO of Dosi Oilfield, commented, "I feel a great sense of pride that our technology is being recognized overseas first. Starting with the completion of 'Wave Jeongeup,' the world's first commercialized plant using Dosi Oilfield technology this November, we aim to elevate Korea's status to the top of the world in the field of advanced eco-friendly technology industries with our original technology within the next one to two years."
