On the afternoon of September 10, Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) opened the second 'BNK Health Donation Staircase' at Busan Station on the city subway, aiming to promote public health and spread a culture of sharing among citizens.

View original imageThe 'Health Donation Staircase' is a citizen-participation donation program where 10 KRW is accumulated for every step taken on the stairs, allowing anyone to easily contribute to donations as part of their daily life.
The Health Donation Staircase at Busan Station had been operated by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) for three years since 2021, and starting from this opening ceremony, BNK Busan Bank has taken over the project. Busan Transportation Corporation provided the installation space and electrical facilities, while BNK Busan Bank covered the installation costs and created the donation fund.
During the event, a total of 20 million KRW was delivered to Inje University Busan Paik Hospital through the Green Umbrella Child Fund. This sum consisted of 9.5 million KRW accumulated from the first BNK Health Donation Staircase installed at Kyungsung University·Pukyong National University Station on Busan Subway Line 2, and an additional 10.5 million KRW provided by BNK Busan Bank. The fund will be used to cover medical expenses for mothers and children from vulnerable groups.
