Siheung City Seeks Name for "Turtle Island Nightscape Lighting"
Naming Contest Open Until the 21st
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province is accepting submissions for the official name of the 'Turtle Island Nightscape Lighting (Beam Light)' until the 21st.
The beam light will be installed at 2726-6 Jeongwang-dong, at the tip of Turtle Island. Six searchlights will shine into the sky, making the illumination visible even from the area near the Sihwa Seawall.
Anyone in the country can participate in the naming contest, but each person may submit only one name. The city will review the submitted names based on clarity, identity, creativity, and popularity, and will select the final name through a citizen preference survey. The result will be announced on the 17th of next month.
