Gangneung City in Gangwon Province is expected to significantly improve public transportation convenience by attaching guide signs with QR codes that provide access to the Bus Information System (BIS) at signboard-type bus shelters throughout the city.

Even at signboard-type bus shelters without BIS monitors, citizens can easily check real-time bus arrival information by scanning the QR code with their mobile phones.
