Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone Authority Improves Civil Petition Fee Payment System
Card Payments Available Starting September 10
Enhanced Convenience for Fee Payments
The Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone Authority (headed by Park Sungho) announced that, starting September 10, it will significantly improve the convenience of fee payments for civil petitions by introducing credit card and mobile easy payment options, in addition to the existing methods of cash and bank transfer.
Until now, visitors to the Economic Free Zone Authority were only able to pay fees for civil petition processing using cash or bank transfers, leading to ongoing complaints about the limited payment options.
In response, the Authority has completed the installation of card terminals within its offices to meet the diverse payment needs of petitioners and to provide faster and more convenient services. The range of payment options has been expanded to include not only credit cards but also mobile easy payment services such as Samsung Pay.
With this system upgrade, payments for civil petition submissions and issuance of various documents can now be made using any credit or debit card issued in Korea. Even small fees under 1,000 won can be paid by card, further enhancing the convenience for petitioners.
The Authority explained that the introduction of the card payment system not only improves convenience for petitioners but also has significant meaning in ensuring transparency and accuracy in the fee collection process. In particular, it is expected to minimize errors and the risk of loss associated with cash handling, thereby improving work efficiency as well.
Park Sungho, the head of the Authority, stated, "The improvement of the civil petition fee payment system focused on resolving the inconveniences experienced firsthand at the civil petition site," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide convenient civil administrative services in the future."
