Tenant Behind on Rent Dies After Falling from Balcony While Hiding from Landlord's Doorbell

Police: "No Suspicion of Foul Play"

A tenant in his 60s died after falling from the balcony of a fourth-floor apartment in Dong-gu, Ulsan.

According to the Ulsan Dongbu Police Station on September 8, at around 4:50 p.m. the previous day, a tenant identified as Mr. A fell from an apartment in Bangeo-dong, Dong-gu. He was transported to the hospital by emergency responders in a state of cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away.

The police investigation revealed that Mr. A had been asked to vacate the apartment by the landlord due to unpaid rent. It is believed that he was startled when the landlord rang the doorbell and attempted to escape to the balcony, where he fell. The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
