[Law Firm Now] Sejong Appoints Former Fair Trade Commission Vice Chairman Chulho Ji as Advisor
Strengthening Capabilities in the Field of Fair Trade Expected
Chulho Ji, former Vice Chairman of the Fair Trade Commission, has joined Sejong Law Firm (Managing Partner Oh Jonghan) as an advisor.
On September 8, Sejong Law Firm announced that it has appointed former Vice Chairman Ji as an advisor to the Sejong Fair Trade Group.
Advisor Ji graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Korea University and passed the 29th Higher Civil Service Examination in 1985. The following year, he earned a master's degree in policy studies from the Graduate School of Public Administration at Seoul National University.
Advisor Ji began his public service career as an official in the Fair Trade Division of the Economic Planning Board and, over the next 30 years, built his career in the field of fair trade. He also served in the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Office of the Senior Secretary for Economic Affairs at the Presidential Office, and the Regulatory Reform Office of the Office for Government Policy Coordination.
Notably, during his tenure at the Fair Trade Commission, Advisor Ji held a wide range of key positions, including spokesperson, Director General of the Cartel Investigation Bureau, Director General of the Competition Policy Bureau, and Director General of the Corporate Cooperation Bureau, after serving as a working-level official and section chief in major departments. He also served as a standing commissioner and, from 2018 to 2020, as Vice Chairman of the Fair Trade Commission, a position equivalent to vice minister.
Advisor Ji has also worked as a standing auditor at the Korea Federation of SMEs, a distinguished professor at the Korea University Institute for Future Growth, and an advisor at One Law Partners. He has been actively engaged in writing, publishing three professional books and dozens of papers and academic presentations.
With Advisor Ji's extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in fair trade and regulatory reform, the capabilities of the Sejong Fair Trade Group are expected to be further strengthened.
