Trump: "We Will Resolve the Russia-Ukraine Situation"
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he will soon have a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On September 7 (local time), after attending the final match of the US Open tennis tournament in New York, President Trump was asked by reporters about his plans to speak with President Putin. He replied, "It will happen soon, within a few days."
Regarding Russia's bombing of a Ukrainian government building, he said, "What is happening right now is not pleasant." He added, "We will resolve the situation between Russia and Ukraine."
Earlier that day, Russia attacked a government building in downtown Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, using a drone. This marks the first time the Ukrainian government building has been directly attacked since the outbreak of the war.
