Dr. Kang Donghwan of Pukyong National University Receives Paper Award from Korean Wetlands Society
Dr. Kang Donghwan, a senior researcher at the Geological Environment Research Institute of Pukyong National University, has been awarded the Paper Award by the Korean Wetlands Society in recognition of his achievements in wetland ecology and carbon research.
Dr. Kang was recognized for his academic contributions at the Korean Wetlands Society's annual academic conference, recently held at KINTEX in Goyang City, for his paper titled "Analysis of Blue Carbon Storage Research Trends and Consideration on the Definition of Blue Carbon: A Review," which was published in Volume 26, Issue 1 of the society's journal last year.
This paper has been praised for comprehensively organizing domestic and international case studies on blue carbon storage and systematizing its definition, thereby contributing to the establishment of an academic foundation in the field.
