To Be Used for Housing Restoration and Livelihood Support
Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province has secured 60 million won in financial support as a result of its designation as a special disaster area. This funding will be used to help stabilize the lives of affected residents and facilitate swift recovery efforts.
On September 5, Buyeo County announced that it had received the 60 million won in special disaster area financial support from the Local Finance Mutual Aid Association.
This support was provided under the "Special Disaster Area Disaster Recovery Financial Support Regulations," which allow for the reimbursement and support of up to 30% of the disaster recovery mutual aid contributions paid in the previous year.
The chairman of the Local Finance Mutual Aid Association stated, "We hope this support fund will help Buyeo County recover from the damage and stabilize residents' lives," adding, "We will continue to actively support local governments in their disaster response efforts."
Governor Park Junghyun said, "This financial support will be a great help for affected residents to return to their daily lives," and pledged, "We will do our utmost to ensure rapid recovery and safety."
